What is the connection between Blues And Jazz?
I know they came from the same roots. Other than that, how are they alike? Did blues evolve from jazz?
Blues technically evolved from jazz. Specifically Blues Rock had solid roots in Jazz Music. Bands like Aerosmith and The Jimi Hendrix Experience and Janis Joplin all derived most of their inspiration from jazz music.
