what’s the power consumption of Blu-ray Optical drives?
I want to get a 5.25″ external optical enclosure to create my own external Bluray player since it’s about $150 cheaper. I have found that the Startech enclosure supplies 2amps. So, 24watts. Does these Drives consume less?
I can’t find this info anywhere.

A BD Drive can be powered by a usb cord alone, so yes, it will be sufficient.
